Everything you need to know about our services, from bookings to treatment, insurance and what to expect at your first visit.

What do I need to bring to a session?

Please bring any relevant medical or surgical history. If you have scans such as MRI, X-ray, ultrasound or CT, bring these with you. You may wish to bring shorts and a t-shirt to allow comfortable movement during assessment or exercises.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments required will vary depending on your condition and individual needs. After a thorough assessment, your clinician will discuss a treatment plan and outline goals for your rehabilitation/exercise program.

What should I wear to my appointment?

If treatment involves your feet, you will not be asked to undress. If treatment involves your spine, you may be asked to remove some clothing. Comfortable and modest underwear or shorts are suitable. If you have long hair, bringing a hair tie is recommended. If you are training with out exercise physiologist active wear and a water bottle is recommended (water available in the clinic in our hydration station)

How do I make an appointment?

Appointments can be made by phone, online or email. Our reception team will assist you with booking and any questions you may have.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No referral is required. All allied health practitioners accessible without referrals. If you are unsure, please contact reception for guidance.

How long will I need physical therapy?

The length of treatment depends on your diagnosis, severity of symptoms, medical history and response to treatment. Progress is reviewed regularly and treatment plans are adjusted as needed.

What conditions does physical therapy treat?

We treat a wide range of conditions and injuries. Please refer to the Services section for a full list of conditions treated.

How do I know if my insurance covers the service I need?

We recommend checking directly with your private health insurer to confirm your level of cover for the service you are booking.

How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment(s)?

Please contact the clinic where you attend appointments. Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice. Failure to attend or late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 50 percent of the appointment cost.

What payment methods are available at the clinic?

We accept all major health funds, credit cards including AMEX, and Afterpay.

How do I get a medicare rebate?

If you have a chronic or complex condition you may be eligible to receive Medicare rebates for up to 5 Allied Health appointments each calendar year. Please note this applies to anybody who has a valid Medicare card. Your GP will need to set up your GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP). Medicare Plans are created by your GP to help manage your chronic condition with the assistance of your nominated allied health care practitioner.

What do I do with my referral?

All referrals need to be emailed or provided to the clinic before any appointments can be made.

What are the gap payments and how does Medicare reimbursement work?

Medicare only covers some of the cost of the appointment. Appointment payments are paid by you to the clinic. Medicare claims are then processed electronically by
the clinic. Rebates for the appointment will be paid to you by Medicare to your
nominated bank account.
