Sports Podiatry

When it comes to your feet and lower limbs, you might not realise how much they affect the rest of your body. They serve as our gateway for physical activity with conditions such as sports-related injury or arthritis that can be diagnosed by one visit from us! We also offer treatment options so patients living an active lifestyle don’t have any limitations on what type movements they do each day – helping them connect even further into this world around them while feeling vibrant again at their peak performance level

What is Sports Podiatry?

Sports podiatry is the medical specialty dealing with all problems of feet and lower limbs; whether it be through prescription appropriate (or sports specific) footwear, customised training programs or orthotics to optimise foot & leg health. Our doctors are trained assess biomechanical capabilities in line movement/sports evaluation evaluate stability posture alignment functionality .

When should I visit a sports podiatrist as rather than a general podiatrist and orthopaedic surgeron?

1. We all know the feeling of soreness after training, but it’s important to take care of your body in order for you not experience any injuries during competitions or practice sessions; this way we can make sure that our athletes are prepared and ready when their time comes!

2 .Athletes should always follow sport-specific assessments created by professionals who have been trained specifically with injury rehabilitation strategies at hand (such as podiatry). The goal is prevention! Because an unused muscle might be more susceptible than others.

Orthotics

Custom orthotics are medical grade inserts designed to support your feet, improve alignment, and reduce strain on the lower limbs. Prescribed by a podiatrist, they are tailored to your individual foot structure and walking pattern to help address the underlying cause of pain or dysfunction.

Orthotics can help improve the way your feet move and absorb pressure when walking, running, or standing. By supporting the foot and redistributing forces across the body, they can reduce stress on the ankles, knees, hips, and lower back.

At InSynch Health, our podiatrists conduct a detailed assessment of your feet, posture, and gait to determine whether orthotics are appropriate for you. If needed, we prescribe custom orthotics designed specifically for your condition and lifestyle.

What can orthotics help with?

Orthotics are commonly used to assist with a range of foot and lower limb conditions, including:

  • Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
  • Flat feet or high arches
  • Knee, hip, or lower back pain related to foot mechanics
  • Overpronation or poor foot alignment
  • Sports and overuse injuries
  • Pain when standing or walking for long periods

Biomechanical Assessments

Biomechanics is the study of how we move, not just human movement but also what happens internally and externally to cause those movements. Every part of our body has a specific function; whether they’re being overworked or underused can lead us into compensation which places you at higher risk for injury. The assessment of your body’s mechanics is an important part in determining the cause and treatment for many foot problems. A biomechanical test will determine whether or not you are experiencing pain, as well as what areas need attention by assessing how effectively all joints function together during testing specific activities like walking patterns with each step counting towards a score which can then provide insight into our client’s overall health.

We all have a part of our body that moves us through life. Whether it be the feet and legs, or other parts like arms or head – they’re important for moving around in everyday tasks as well as playing sports! It doesn’t matter if you’ve got an injury now; don’t wait until pain sets into your muscles before consulting with one of our professionals who can help make sure everything is right- give them call today so we talk about what options are best suited to YOU.

Children’s Podiatry

As a parent, you learn to become so intuitive with your child. You pick up on their habits and behaviours – even the small things! As they grow into an adult it will be important for them not only physically but also mentally as well because being able to move efficiently can help someone live better life overall.

In addition the developmental foundation of normal locomotion patterns are established during infancy-years; this includes walking mechanics (gait) which remains foundational throughout one’s lifetime.

Our skilled podiatrist assess and treat your babies, toddlers or teenagers for a range of conditions that can be painful. We strongly believe in the ethos prevention is key to great health and wellbeing; seeing us at an early age provides many benefits including better posture development which will support overall well-being as they grow up!

Footwear

We are deeply in touch with your daily needs and repertoire. During our consultations, we’ll assess the current footwear you’re wearing to help guide recommendations for new shoes that will best fit those requirements—we do advise bringing along any sneakers or athletic wear as well! We want every patient-physician interaction at Insync Health to be professional, informative and empowering.

Compression Therapy

At Insync Health we believe in and use compression therapy. Compression therapy’s main aim is to increase lymphatic flow. By increasing flow in and around the body’s different regions, flow is able to reach the specified limb/s, mainly peripherally (away from the main mass of the body).

By increasing circulation, a spike in nutrients to soft tissue structures occurs and allows muscles to rejuvenate. The benefit of an increased rate of muscle rejuvenation, or muscle recovery, means you are able to repeat a conditioned performance similar to that of the previous sessions with the likelihood of going beyond.

Another positive benefit of compression is the reduction in pain levels enabling for quicker recovery and repeat high level performances at the gym or in competition.

The Normatec 2.0 used by Insync health uses dynamic air compression with a specific pulse technology to flush out pain, inflammation, and soreness. The Normatec 2.0 compression therapy system brings oxygenated blood to the parts of the body furthest away from the heart.

The Normatec compression therapy system comes equipped with Bluetooth features allowing you to control and track your compression therapy sessions.

If you are anyone competing with yourself at the gym or competing in competition, the Normatec 2.0 compression therapy system is the best option for you to get faster results. Enquire with reception as there are packages available.
