The benefits start the day you do!

As you are aware, regular exercise and healthy eating are key components to a healthy lifestyle, helping you to prevent and manage chronic health conditions and improve your overall health and wellbeing.

To help you achieve your health and lifestyle goals, Diabetes NSW & ACT have developed BEAT IT: Physical Activity and Lifestyle program. BEAT IT is an evidenced-based, individually tailored exercise program designed to assist people who are at risk of, or living with, diabetes and other health conditions. BEAT IT Trainers have undertaken specialised education provided by Diabetes NSW & ACT in order to provide their own programs independently within the community.

BEAT IT classes are individualised to suit your current health and fitness levels and incorporate a variety of aerobic and strength exercises. Classes also include fortnightly education sessions which cover a variety of healthy living topics. During the 8 week program, classes start slowly and build as you become fitter, stronger and more confident. The sessions are supervised, fun, safe and supportive, with a focus on assisting participants to find exercise they enjoy and can incorporate into their daily lives.

We are pleased to announce that Insync Physiotherapy is starting a BEAT IT program in Marrickville in April and we would like to invite you to a free information session on their behalf. While this information session is free, please note that there may be a cost to register for the program.

The session will be on Monday 12 April 2021 and will enable you to learn a little more about the program. Your BEAT IT trainer is Aaron Ishac, and he will be available to answer any questions you may have as well as talk you through the program and the benefits you can expect. BEAT IT is a group program, so feel free to bring along your partner or invite a friend.

The Beat IT program is a fantastic opportunity to get the guidance and support you need to boost your confidence, get active and improve your health.

Yours sincerely,

Aaron Ishac
